What sounded like incitement to hatred was actually more like the braying of a corn-fed donkey. The televangelist, while stating his opposition to same-sex marriage, made a gay joke that amounts to an empty threat:

I’ll kill him and tell God he died.

It’s an expression. From Texas.

If we’re very generous, we can even imagine that he admits he’s just “never met the right man.”
