Kid’s finally asleep after immunizations. Here’s the segue: on the bus ride home there was a whole lot of revving of Harleys and refugee smokers gaggling outside pseudo-posh restaurant patios.

Here’s the judgement: I have a word for these people. Despoilers. Almost anything that annoys me these days seems to come under this category.

We’ll go on a road trip soon. When you’re stuck behind a mammoth rental RV on the highway, that word comes to mind.

However, there is a group of intrepid full-time RVers who have sold the house or quit paying rent (never mind going to the office) and live as gypsies year round. There’s a reason that one RV club calls itself The Escapees. Some can even manage to “dry camp,” without electricity, water, septic or ( here’s the celebrity name-drop ) Johnny Depp.

Here’s the insight: It strikes me as these hardy folks may have something here. Mindfulness in the RV lifestyle? My word.

And now here’s the tidbit: One of their sages has written a fascinating guide to dry camping, or boondocking, which is an interesting read for anyone.

That was the link! Thanks and goodnight.
