Was that out loud?

Okay, I’ll show my hand here. Where, if not one’s blog?
Of female bondage
In the West, infant ear piercing is for girls only. I think this is a nonsensical practice, even with anaesthetic. It sends the message rather early that if you’re a girl, a) you better get used to pain, and that b) your function is mainly ornamental.
Remember, you never know when this form of mutilation will go out of style; it came into vogue in North America only 40 or so years ago. Remember those double and triple piercings of the 80s? If you must non-consensually pierce your baby daughter’s ears, go to a place with needles not guns, and use anaesthetic.
Same spin, different subject. The Post lays it out. High heels are bad for you. Keep ‘em for the boudoir.
DISCLOSURE: I’m 5’10” and had ears pierced, once each, at 13 (and still holey).
