Are you sure you don’t mind? Oh, if you insist. Oh, I never talk about my hair, but since you asked, YES, YES I’d love to!

Excuse: it’s the Friday Five

1. Is your hair naturally curly, wavy, or straight? Long or short?
Heavy and straight, with a slight wave. Long.

2. How has your hair changed over your lifetime?
Various pageboys and matted braids through childhood, graduating to a short, preppy-dyke do (complete with a tail) in high school, which gradually grew out to today’s hair-farming length

3. How do your normally wear your hair?
Part of it pulled up in an industrial-strength barette at the back of my head, and then all of it braided into a single braid

4. If you could change your hair this minute, what would it look like?
As inordinately as I love my own hair, I find a gorgeous cloud of dark-brown corkscrew curls superfantabulous on both men and women, and I’d switch to that in a minute if I knew how to take care of it

5. Ever had a hair disaster? What happened?
I consider the entire 80s a single hair disaster; purple and copper Flirt™ gel hair colour came and went
